Daily fantasy platform PrizePicks continued its march through the South Thursday when it announced a new partnership with NASCAR, its third and biggest sports partnership to be unveiled this month. The company previously announced deals with the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta United, but the NASCAR partnership is its first with a major U.S. professional sports league.

As NASCAR’s daily fantasy sports partner, PrizePicks will roll out its first VIP presence at a NASCAR track Sunday at the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. While PrizePicks and NASCAR have not finalized all details of what the deal will entail, PrizePicks could offer fan experiences, the opportunity to meet drivers, giveaways, or contests.

DFS interest in NASCAR, which made its debut on PrizePicks in 2021, has grown by 400% in the last 12 months, according to a PrizePicks press release. DFS players can try their hand at driver projections such as fantasy score, NASCAR points, fastest laps, laps led, cars passed, and starting position.

According to the company’s release, all three of its new partnerships reflect the growing interest in each sport on the site and its commitment to the South. The company was founded and is based in Atlanta.

“We’ve always taken great pride in the fact that a great deal of our marketing and partnerships remain true to our Southern roots,” said PrizePicks co-founder and CEO Adam Wexler. “Working with NASCAR is the best of all worlds, an organization based in the South with a national footprint that is consistently growing on our platform.”

PrizePicks also has deals with the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Marlins.

NASCAR coming to Atlanta area

NASCAR has 42 tracks in North America, including 14 in the South. The next NASCAR Cup Series race in Georgia will be the Quaker State 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, which is set for July 9.

“PrizePicks has consistently shown itself to be a fantasy platform with a loyal fan base and wide variety of sports offerings,” said Joe Solosky, NASCAR managing director of sports betting. “This partnership is an opportunity for both organizations to expand and increase engagement with new and existing fans.”

According to the Inc. 5000 2022 rankings, PrizePicks is the fastest-growing sports company in North America and the largest independent skill-based fantasy sports operator in North America.
